Measures Not Measuring Up

It has bothered me for a while, but the final push form annoyance and irritation to full outrage came the other day in a most disturbing realization in a sacrosanct area.  I had been aware for some time that things were not measuring up.  I'm not sure where I had first noticed it, so insidious has the change been.  Maybe it was when the sandwich that used be filling was less so, and discovering that the can of tuna fish had been quietly changed from 3 ozs to 2.5.  Maybe it was the cookies (COOKIES!) that went down to 14 ozs from 16 ozs.  But the final straw, the ultimate in these nefarious schemes ......being short sheeted on TP!  I likely would not have noticed except for an serendipitous timing, where I had the center tube from an old roll and a new roll.  The new roll was shorter by 1/4", and bigger diameter of the tube hole diameter by another 1/8".  Do you know how much paper that represents, that we were getting but aren't any more, but still paying for? It's an outrage!

Well, apparently I'm not the only one who realizes this, I'm just a little slow in catching up.

Gee....you can't trust anything these days.

  1. Yes, they think they're clever, but they're just cheating. God sees it all. Especially what they do to the widow and orphan, y'know?
